  6. Mary Mallory says:

Josephine Crowell. I love it when people identify invisible people in photos. Are they afraid they’ll miss someone the rest of the week? Want to show off? It’s unneeded.

  7. Anne Papineau says:

    Jobyna Ralston?

  8. Anne Papineau says:

    Josephine Crowell?

    Is it Marion Byron?

  10. Don Danard says:

The Monday Mystery Gal, not the older lady.

  11. Dan Nather says:

Monday’s mystery woman is Jobyna Ralston, which leads me to think this is a Harold Lloyd movie — FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE, perhaps?

  12. Anne Papineau says:

Is this “Hot Water” … Harold Lloyd, 1924?

  13. Mary Mallory says:

Well, here’s something people don’t know: the second time Lloyd gets the traffic ticket, you see the signature, “Gene Kornman.” Kornman was his stills photographer.

The lovely and radiant Josephine Crowell for tuesday.

Okay, if it’s not FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE, it’s HOT WATER. That means the mystery matron would be Josephine Crowell.

  19. Mary Mallory says:

Mickey McBan is the boy and I believe Fred Holmes is the man.

  20. Mike Hawks says:

Mickey McBan is the boy today.

  26. Gary Martin says:

Yes, Harold Lloyd is not a mystery guest.

  27. I’m probably in hot water for coming on so late but Jobyna Ralston on Monday and Harold Lloyd at the wheel today makes this, what else, Hot Water (1924) with Josephine Crowell and Mickey Mcban.

  28. Lorenzo says:

Sorry, but did I miss the identity of the truck driver on Wednesday?

  29. Earl Boebert says:

The picture of Harold Lloyd reminded me: I think Mary Mallory should do a piece on the “Spider Pool” in the Hollywood Hills and the associated mansion. It was a favorite haunt of Harold Lloyd in his later years and frequent backdrop for his, er, artistic photographic endeavors. It, and the photos, were fairly infamous during my college years.
