Kennedy in the state’s presidential primary. A large turnout would also help Republican Sen. Thomas H. Kuchel, who is being challenged by state Supt. of Public Instruction Max Rafferty, the story says. The Times notes that the primary will be the first election in Los Angeles County to use punch card ballots rather than rubber stamps. |
