Man with wide lapels and bow tie.
For Monday, we have a mysterious fellow. Back of the Head Guy has been cropped out due to insufficient mysteriousness and will appear later in the week.

Update: For Friday, here’s Back of the Head Guy.

Two Back of the Head Women. One is standing. She's in a dark dress and one shoulder is higher than the other. The second woman is sitting and is wearing a light-colored blouse.
For “tricky Tuesday,” we have two Back of the Head Women, which may be a record for Back of the Head Persons!

Brain Trust roll call: Howard Mandelbaum (mystery movie, Monday’s mystery fellow and Back of the Head Guy cropped out due to insufficient mysteriousness).

  1. Lester Allen with Thomas Mitchell in THE DARK MIRROR (1946).

  2. skretvedt1958 says:

Hmm….looks kind of like George E. Stone.

  3. B.J. Merholz says:

Could be Lou Lubin shadowing a thin man.

  4. Jenny M says:

    George E. Stone

  5. mary Mallory says:

THE DARK MIRROR. Lester Allen Monday with Lew Ayres BOTH, and Olivia DeHavilland and Olivia Dehavilland as BOTHs today.

  6. Olivia DH times two!

  7. Jenny M says:

Movie is The Dark Mirror (1946) with Lester Allen, and Olivia de Havilland as twins.

  8. Robert Morrissey says:

I think Tuesday’s pic clicked somewhere in my visual memory – Is this Olivia and her double in 1946’s The Dark Mirror? The hairstyles, clothing, and particularly the drab and dark interior look very much from that movie. And that means that Monday’s photo is of Lester Allen.

  10. Mary Mallory says:

    Garry Owen today.

  11. mike hawks says:

    Garry Owen.

  12. Rogét-L.A. says:

I don’t know who Wednesday’s mystery fellow is, but I just had to point out that the lapels on his pinstriped suit are as wide as the brim of his hat!

  13. Michael Lott says:

Don’t know the movie but the wardrobe selection this week is exceptional….

  14. Lorenzo says:

    Lester Allen is Monday’s guest

  15. Richard Long today; I’m guessing this is “The Dark Mirror.”

  16. mike hawks says:

    Richard Long.

  17. Rogét-L.A. says:

Thursday’s mystery gent is Richard Long in The Dark Mirror (1946)

  18. Greg says:

Thursday’s gent is Richard Long. The wallpaper in the other photos shout that the movie is “Tomorrow is Forever”.

  19. Mary Mallory says:

    Richard Long.

  20. B.J. Merholz says:

Are we looking at Richard Long through a mirror darkly?

  21. Gary says:

This would be The Dark Mirror starring Olivia de H x’s 2.

  22. Jenny M says:

    Richard Long

  23. Sylvia E. says:

The feeling I got on Tuesday was that maybe this was one of those ‘evil twin’ movies – but had no real guess. Wednesday, still had no idea. Aha Thursday comes and my way into the film arrives! Woohoo!

    “The Dark Mirror” 1946
Monday – Lester Allen, I think
Tuesday – Olivia de Havilland is one of the BOTHW. If IMDb is right, Amelita Ward is the BOTHW twin. She’s listed (uncredited) as “photo double” in the ‘Other Crew’ category.
    Wednesday – Gary Owen
    Thursday – Richard Long
Friday will bring a frontal shot of Ms de Havilland, Lew Ayers and Thomas Mitchell

  24. LC says:

The Dark Mirror (1946) w/Olivia de Havilland, Lew Ayres, Richard Long, Thomas Mitchell, Lester Allen, Garry Owen…

  25. Suzanne Stone says:

Thursday it is Richard Long, but I do not know the film. Monday’s guy looks like wrestling mogul Vince McMahon now, after some unfortunate cosmetic surgery and hair dye, plus crooke3d mustache…

  26. Mary Mallory says:

Thomas Mitchell BOTH Monday and today, with a dapper Lew Ayres.

  27. Mary Mallory says:

And Olivia DeHavilland times 2, forgot her.

  28. Anne Papineau says:

Was thinking, “Hey, that’s Richard Long,” but hesitated, which gets one no where with Movieland Mystery Photo. Late to the party but there’s Thomas Mitchell, Lew Ayres and twin Olivia de Havillands making our feature “Dark Mirror.”

  29. Rogét-L.A. says:

For Friday: Thomas Mitchell, Lew Ayres, Olivia de Havilland, and Olivia de Havilland in The Dark Mirror (1946)
