OMG! Not all films made during that time period were Nazi Propaganda. In 1933 alone The Testament of Dr. Mabuse, Viktor und Viktoria, The Burning Secret, The House of Dora Green, and Liebelei were released. All of these films were made by men who had to flee the Nazis. I wonder if this plan was carried out?

I included that line because it’s so appalling. I’m fairly confident this plan never got beyond the talking stage.

Fortunately some German movies made during the Nazi era, like the movies about the Titanic and Baron Von Munchausen, survived.
