    I concur with Dewey Webb. At least, I had the pleasure of playing tennis with Cornel Wilde, up at Murietta Hot Springs Resort, as a young teenager, some 40 years ago.

    Photo probably taken in court when Cornel adopted Franchot’s 2 sons as his own shortly after Cornel married Jean in 1951. Franchot has a bandage over his left eye so this photo was probably taken after he was badly beaten by a jealous boyfriend, also in 1951.
