   That one story looks interesting – She Took 30 Years to Reach Beverly Hills…
   –The story is lousy. It’s patronizing toward its subject and nothing but a glorified publicity stunt for swank restaurants. I’m not even going to post it. One reason Otis Chandler is remembered so fondly at The Times is that he did away with this kind of junk.

   And Larry, wasn’t it sometime during 1958 that The Times altered its flag, removing the eagle and the slogans? Ah, the end of “true industrial freedom.”
