(C’mon, folks, this is a famous Los Angeles incident of the 1950s! You Ellroy freaks should know this.)

    Since you mention “Ellroy freaks.” How about one last clue before you give it all away.
    Ellroy fictionalized a lot of L.A. history in his novels.
    Which Ellroy book would you be takling about that would refer to this mystery individual?
