Reminder: The next Black Dahlia Book Club will be Tuesday, October 27, at 10 a.m. Pacific time on YouTube.
In this session, I will discuss a 1959 episode of the TV show Deadline titled The Blue Dahlia (unrelated to the 1946 Alan Ladd/Veronica Lake movie) lightly based on Joseph Dumais’ false confession to killing Elizabeth Short.
The next Black Dahlia Ask Me Anything is November 3, 2026.
Bidding in a charity auction for a signed first edition of Michael Connelly’s The Drop (shown at left) will conclude with this session.
In this form of auction, bidders offer to make a donation to a charity of their choice in memory of Elizabeth Short. The high bidder will send me proof of their donation and I will send them the book. I don’t handle any money directly; it’s between the bidder and their chosen charity, in memory of Elizabeth Short.
Send bids to LMHarnisch@Gmail.com with “The Drop” in the subject field. I will post the bids (if any) once a day.
Reminder: Don’t dress up like the Black Dahlia for Halloween. Don’t do it.
Email me your questions and I’ll answer them!
