   Thank you for this. Does “the publisher” push such nonsense on Old Timey Hollywood types to drive sales? Or is Mamie just mixed up and no one can be bothered to check dates, places and other irksome matters like facts. Sad. Sad. Sad.

     Publishers want books that will sell. If they are accurate or well written doesn’t matter. The Hollywood “tell-all” by a long-forgotten actor spilling the beans on conveniently dead people is an entire genre, unfortunately.
