Black Dahlia Book Club for May 2026

In this episode of the Black Dahlia Book Club, I look at actor/director/producer Jack Webb and his 1958 book “The Badge.”

In the Q&A, I discussed research on Bunker Hill, the film noir “He Walked by Night,” whether the LAPD will release its files on the Black Dahlia case, and the movements of Elizabeth and Cleo Short.

I also gave a quick update on Michael Connelly’s “Killer in the Code,” and a rebuttal to the claims of Alex Baber by regular SpinsandNeedles, and David Oranchak’s three-part rebuttal to Baber’s allegations.
