This is BREAKER MORANT (1980), Edward Woodward and Bryan Brown looking out at the sea on Monday, mirrored in the final scene, which has stuck with me for years. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this but I think Tuesday is the character Visser, so Michael Prochanin.

I was so certain with my guess earlier but I think I’m wrong, I found a copy of the movie and those scenes aren’t there. I started wondering about the 2nd mystery photo because it did not ring any bells at all. Tuesday looks like Bryan Brown SO MUCH though, but he doesn’t get injured in BREAKER MORANT like that (and I don’t think they had those tubes in 1901).

I’ll get you yet, Mystery Movie!

Just for the heck of it…..

On Monday I thought that the BG looks like Sydney Australia. Now on Tuesday, our injured guy looks like Bryan Brown.

    The Odd Angry Shot 1979
Monday – Graham Kennedy and John Jarrett (Harry and Bill in the movie) at a local eatery, looking out over the harbor towards Sydney.
Tuesday – Bryan Brown (the busted jaw was a good hint for finding the movie)

Wednesday – I think these guys are Chuck McKinney and Freddie Paris. l think I found a clear photo of Paris in another movie (playing Thandie Newton’s father. A not-so-clear one of McKinney in ‘the Pirate Movie’, but I think it’s him.

I’ve been going through the IMDb and my guess is THE ODD ANGRY SHOT (1979), I’ve never heard of it so I feel kind of weird guessing it, but there’s a similar photo of the group in Thursday’s photo out there but with Bryan Brown making a funny face. Comedy!

Crazy that the final scene in BREAKER MORANT (1980) a year later coincidentally resembles the scene in Monday’s photo. I was so sure at first and thought I just didn’t remember those particular scenes. I don’t know a lot about Australian film! If it’s not STRICTLY BALLROOM or PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK I’m pretty much lost.

Thursday – Graham Kennedy, Bryan Brown, Graeme Blundell, John Hargreves and John Jarrett. There’s also Foster’s beer (though apparently Foster’s is not Australian made beer and it’s not popular there in reality)
