This week’s silent mystery movie was the 1915 film Double Trouble, with Douglas Fairbanks, Richard Cummings, Margery Wilson, Gladys Brockwell, Olga Grey, Tom Kennedy, Lillian Langdon, Don Likes, William Lowery, Billy Quirk, Monroe Salisbury, Charles Stevens, Mary Thurman and Kate Toncray.
From the novel by Herbert Quick.
Directed by W. Christy Cabanne.
Further information on Double Trouble is available from the AFI Catalog.
Double Trouble (apparently the unrestored version) is available on DVD from Critics’ Choice Video.

I picked Double Trouble by going through the trades. It looked interesting and, fortunately, there was a fairly decent print in the Daily Mirror vault, which is quite skimpy on silent films.

For the silent version of the mystery photo, we have a mysterious fellow and Back of the Head Guy.
Update: This is Douglas Fairbanks as Back of the Head Guy. The railroad porter remains unidentified for now.

For Tuesday, we have a mysterious guest. His companion has been cropped out due to insufficient mysteriousness and will appear Friday.
Update for Friday: Adding our mysterious leading man.
Update: This is Don Likes, left, and Douglas Fairbanks.

For “Silent Hm Wednesday,” we have a mysterious fellow.
Update: This is Richard Cummings.

We also have a mystery woman. Her companion has been cropped out due to insufficient mysteriousness and will appear Friday.
Update for Friday: Adding our mysterious leading man.
Update: This is Olga Grey and Douglas Fairbanks.

For “Aha Thursday,” we have a mysterious woman.
Update: This is Gladys Brockwell.
Brain Trust roll call: Mary Mallory (mystery movie, Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s mystery guests and Back of the Head Guy).

For Friday, our mysterious leading man has a mystery companion.
Update: This is Douglas Fairbanks and Margery Wilson.
THE MARRIAGE CLAUSE. Oscar Smith and BOTH Francis x. Bushnan.

An excellent guess! But alas, I’m afraid not.

I’m sure I won’t guess the movie by week’s end, but just for grins:
Monday’s image indicates, to me, a late teens-early 20s story with part of the tale set on a cross-country train (sleeper car and a Porter), that’s a comedy (pajama guy has fallen from his berth to the floor).
Will give a movie title a gallant try, but the above is probably as close as I’ll get on anything about this movie.

Oof, hard one this week. DOUBLE TROUBLE (1915) with I believe Don Likes on Monday and Douglas Fairbanks (before he turned leathery) as Back of the Head Guy. Tuesday is Billy Quirk and I absolutely should have known that, having seen him in ALGIE, THE MINER. Wednesday is I believe Richard Cummings, but I was thrown off because I thought it was Jay Dwiggins.
Olga Gray is the medium on Wednesday with the sea anemone on her head. Thursday is Gladys Brockwell and Friday is Margery Wilson.
I watched some of this on YouTube and gosh everyone sure likes to look straight into the camera!
