    razor-edged pessimism.

    “…when Elizabeth Short “loved to prowl the boulevard.” Yes! Through the lens of those who forget that the Hollywood Boulevard of the 1940s was hardly that of the 1970s and beyond.

    “… catering to crazy movie people in the crazy 1920s.” spoken like Joe Gillis/William Holden in “Sunset Blvd!”
