I picked Caesar and Cleopatra by going through the trades, and I must say it was a challenge to find images that weren’t plastered all over the Internet. I had to scrap my original choice for Monday, Robert Adams, because it was impossible to find an image of him that didn’t come up in a Google reverse image search.

Robert Adams in Caesar and Cleopatra.
I’m going to guess that Bosley Crowther liked the film.
And indeed he did (The New York Times, Sept. 6, 1946):
Gabriel Pascal, the fearless producer who has already proved his competence with Pygmalion and Major Barbara to put the plays of G.B. Shaw on the screen, has now ventured bolder than ever and has turned his accomplished hand to one of Shaw’s more demanding costume dramas, Caesar and Cleopatra. He has done it — or rather, he did it — in England with a million odd pounds of J. Arthur Rank’s investment money and with Claude Rains and Vivien Leigh as stars. Pictorially, the effort, now revealed here upon the Astor’s screen, is worthy of the extravagance and is certainly worth of a filmgoer’s regard.

For Monday, we have a mystery guest.
Update: This is Flora Robson.

Lol….This is something the youngsters would condemn almost reflexively today: Flora Robson in blackface as Ftatateeta in 1945’s Caesar and Cleopatra. She had been in blackface two years previously in Saratoga Trunk.

Francis L. Sullivan with Anthony Eustrel and Ernest Thesiger behind him. Sullivan starred with Leigh in 21 Days Together, and it was her birthday Sunday. My bit of extraneous info that has nothing to do with the movie like everyone else.

Monday – Flora Robson
Tuesday – Francis L. Sullivan
Boy this film is a walking poster to young actors who think they’ll “never make it”. A who’s who of youthful, “yet to be” leading women and men, with some elders thrown in, too.

I think, as a matter of fact, I’m pretty sure that the mean looking babe on Monday is Flora Robson. Followed on Tuesday by Francis L. Sullivan. The clincher was Wednesday’s appearance of Michael Rennie. The movie should be 1945’s “Caesar and Cleopatra”.
