I recognize Eduardo Ciannelli. I’m going to guess that the film is “Foreign Correspondent” 1940, but I’m not sure. Hope so, as I’m a Joel McCrae fan and a Hitchcock fan.

Found a site/blog (?) called “Silently – After the Silents” by Fritzi Kramer that reviewed this film (it’s how I found out Quentin’s name). She talked about Ray Milland, Dietrich and the behind the scenes stuff. I found the write up hilarious; respectful of the film, with just the right mix of informative commentary, while maintaining a contemporary awareness of the types of ‘comic’ choices made (it was the forties after all). She even touched on Bowsley Crowther’s review! You must have had fun with this one.
Looking forward to seeing Friday’s image choice.
