    As an actor, he was so-so, as a Hollywood Reporter columnist, he wrote mostly fluff. But as a film historian for TCM, Robert Osborne excelled. His charm, personal insight, and deep knowledge of film history was a gift to all of us. Hooray for Robert Osborne!
