This week’s mystery movie has been the 1957 Twentieth Century-Fox film “A Hatful of Rain,” with Eva Marie Saint (Friday’s mystery guest), Don Murray (Thursday’s mystery guest), Anthony Franciosa (not shown), Lloyd Nolan (Wednesday’s mystery guest) and Henry Silva (Tuesday’s mystery guest).  It was written by Michael Vincente Gazzo and Alfred Hayes, based on Gazzo’s play. With music by Bernard Herrmann, photographed by Joe MacDonald and directed by Fred Zinnemann.

And for Monday, we have a mystery gent who is reading – or at least holding – a newspaper.

This is Albert Dannibal in one of his two screen appearances. He also had the lead in a revival of the play “Stalag 17,” but otherwise I can’t find much about him. He bears some resemblance to Albert D’Annibale.

And for Tuesday, we have this arty shot of our mystery guest.

Henry Silva as “Mother.”

And for Wednesday, we have a mystery fellow and a mysterious iconic bridge.

Lloyd Nolan and the Brooklyn Bridge – Lloyd Bridge(s), get it?

Please congratulate Rick Scott (Tuesday’s mystery guest), Michael Ryerson (Tuesday’s mystery guest) Floyd Thursby (mystery movie and Tuesday’s mystery guest) and LC (Tuesday’s mystery guest).

I would say the “Albert D’Annibale” mentioned by Larry bears more than a passing
resemblance to the “Albert Dannibal” credited in this film.
Here is a link to the wedding announcement for Christopher D’Annibale, son of Albert.
