Here’s a fun toy I just discovered.
CamelCamelCamel.com tracks price fluctuations on Amazon (in case you haven’t noticed – and I hadn’t — the hardcover price of James Ellroy’s “Perfidia” has been dropping slightly every day). Handy for the holidays, no?

The price has fallen off steadily from $21.32 to $16.63.
And here it is for “The Burning Room.”

I’ve used that for some time now, and highly recommend it. I think there’s also another price checker linked to Amazon, although the name escapes me at the moment.

Also makes it easy to spot the NYT “best sellers” that got on the list by using outfits like ResultSource fake sales to con NYT into putting them on the list, a practice that is rampant with business and self-help books. Go to Camelcamelcamel and find a “best seller” with “Amazon $15.00” and “3rd Party New $1.00” and you’ve learned something 🙂
