   Looks like the good general has bested his background neighbor in the rapid-fire drill. Notice that the general is not firing a standard Army pistol, but a smaller weapon. Rank hath its privilege. As for the hearing protection (lack of): In his many years firing every type of weapon, I’ll wager firing that tiny 9mm pistol didn’t do any further harm to his hearing. Great site, Larry, et al!

     @Mike: The general was photographed on a 1995 visit to the Czech republic. Notice he goes for the two-handed grip in contrast to his left-handed neighbor.
