Typeface fans, this is for you.

Vilma Stech, who learned to drive a Peerless in 30 minutes, is one of the "fair chauffeuses" in Los Angeles, The Times says. There are at least 150 women in Los Angeles who have learned to operate automobiles skillfully.

There may have been 150 wimmin in El Lay THEN who drove cars good but that number has gone down considerably since then. And, the men are worse. Even my street, Wistful Vista, is full of Barney Oldfields zooming up and down at breakneck speeds.
