| This rather nice postcard of the Examiner Building on South Broadway has been posted on EBay. The name of Julia Morgan is usually attached to the building, but this card also credits J. Martyn Haenke, a name I don't recognize. The large windows showing the press line were covered during a prolonged strike in the 1960s and since the demise of the Herald Examiner, the building has been converted to a variety of film sets. Bidding starts at $9.99, but there is a reserve. |
