I’m actually more interested in the firearm our mystery man is holding.
The stock appears to have a Vincent profile, particularly at the butt. It has a cheek piece on the left side of the stock for a right handed shooter. However, there is a lock on the left side, which would be normal (although rare) for a left handed shooter.
There is a hint of a hammer spur on the right side and the piece appears to have two barrels. So, is this a over/under percussion shotgun or a rifle over shotgun? (probably the later, which would account for the very high front sight) Or just a strangely constructed rifle?
Is there a higher resolution photo available somewhere?
It is obviously a black powder, muzzle loading firearm of some type. Is there any more information with the photo, possibly even the movie(?) the still is from? (To be revealed Friday, of course!)
