Here’s a time capsule of Catholic thought as it stood 50 years ago from the Mirror. Cardinal McIntyre approves of censorship and picketing indecent films (when necessary), discourages teenagers from "going steady," doesn’t think Sen. John F. Kennedy’s religion will be an obstacle in the 1960 presidential election and disapproves of "progressive education."
