Black Dahlia Book Club – Coming February 17, 2026

Here’s a quick reminder that the Black Dahlia Book Club will convene next Tuesday at 10 a.m. Pacific time on YouTube. The Book Club replaces the usual George Hodel and Steve Hodel Ask Me Anything as I got tired of talking about them.

In session No. 2 of the Black Dahlia Book Club, I will discuss the memoirs of four journalists who covered the Black Dahlia case:

–Agness “Aggie” Underwood’s “Newspaperwoman.”

–Shirley Jean Saito’s “Aggie: The Biography of Los Angeles Newspaperwoman Agness Underwood.”

–Jim Richardson’s “For the Life of Me.”

–Will Fowler’s “Reporters.”

–Jack Smith, various columns in the Los Angeles Times.

Have questions? Leave them in the comments. See you in a week!
