I did not remember the Japanese servant in this, though I have seen it. THE SIN OF NORA MORAN. Alan Dinehart Monday out of frame with Otto Yamaoka, and Harvey Clark, Aggie Moran, and Cora Sue Collins today. It is definitely precode, best known for its poster. Acting is okay, but the story is a corker.

Tuesday – a shot in the dark is that the little girl is Cora Sue Collins.

I thought maybe Jane Withers at first but bumped into Ms Collins in one of Jane’s movies.

It took a while but John Miljan, Paul Cavanaugh, Cora Sue Collins, and Otto Yamaoka should make the movie The Sin of Nora Moran from 1933.

Not much time this week. Just a stab.

    “Public Hero #1” 1935
M – Teru Shimada w/ Joseph Calleia OS
T – Cora Sue Collins, but not sure of the adults

If that title is right, later this week: Chester Morris, Jean Arthur, Lionel Barrymore

Okay. Back to square one. Found a site with some images from the film and a wonderful comment that made me laugh out loud.

“…Cavanaugh was an actor with the range of a large piece of wood.”

Anyhow, the film title is “The Sin of Nora Moran” 1933. Monday - Otto Yamaoka is the guy we can see. Don’t know who’s OS.

Tuesday – Aggie Herring and Harvey Clark (I think) with little Cora Sue Collins (the future adult Nora)

Wednesday – the suspicious wife, Claire DuBrey

Thursday – the loves of Nora: John Miljan (I think) and the “large piece of wood”, Paul Cavanaugh (I think).

    Friday should bring Zita Johann

I didn’t recognize any of our guests this week and landing on Cora earlier was a complete accident, thanks to Ms Withers. I’m so impressed with this group’s knowledge of the names and faces of this time period. Wow!
