Black Dahlia: A Concert Program Inscribed to ‘Betty Short’ … From 1959. Wut?

Mah 27, 2018, EBay, Betty Short

Here’s an opportunity to buy a program from a David Rubinoff performance that was inscribed to “Eva and Betty Short” … for $150 …

… that’s also dated 1959, 12 years after the killing of Elizabeth Short, as the vendor points out.

So I mean, really?

Autographs on EBay by David Rubinoff are generally priced much lower, except for a dealer who seems to have a lot of Rubinoffiana.

Rubinoff (not a performer I recognize) was evidently known for specializing in light classical/pops selections.

Unless Rubinoff dabbled in time travel along with his musical career, I can’t see that there would be much interest in this. Then again, I can’t imagine why the vendor threw  “Betty Short” in the headline, knowing that the item is from 1959.

Here’s a definite link between Rubinoff and a Betty, as confirmed about 30 seconds in.
