Much has been written about the transcripts of the law enforcement bugging of Dr. George “Evil Genius” Hodel’s house, but the material is actually pretty dull. Here are some sample pages, chosen at random, published in their entirety.
There’s more. Can you stand the tedium?

How about some more?

Had enough? And this is supposed to be the guy who was the modern-day Professor Moriarty of Los Angeles? The serial killer who got away?
why did John Huston’s assistant call Hodel? Sounds like Chinatown again.

Actually, it is kind of interesting to see Albert Band call for Dorothy Hodel on behalf of John Huston! That was years before Band was a director (and his son Charles Band is currently a producer/director of some infamous B movies through his studio Full Moon Pictures). The call isn’t a surprise, though, since Dorothy was Huston’s ex-wife. Had Huston remained friends with Dorothy?
But no, he doesn’t seem like a mastermind killer in the least.
