What happened to our mystery guest?

Update: This is O.J. Simpson and Melissa Michaelsen in “Goldie and the Boxer.” I’m especially impressed that so many readers recalled this opus:  Gary Alexander (1), Michael Ryerson (2), Periwinkle (3), Barbara Klein (4), Dewey Webb (5), L.C. (6), Herb Nichols (7), Cold in Phoenix (8), Pamela Porter, (9), Ed (10), Roget-L.A. (11) and Jenny M. (12). ]

  3. Well it’s O.J.Simpson so the opportunity for humor abounds but it is either from Goldie and the Boxer (1979) or Goldie and the Boxer go to Hollywood (1981) so my guess is he got poked by an opponent in the make-belive ring. The little girl is Melissa Michaelson

O.J. Simpson and Melissa Michaelsen. What happened to him? Justice and a right hook? Also, a bad TV movie called Goldie and the Boxer.

He was in a NBC Movie of the Week: Goldie and the Boxer with Melissa Michaelsen. Apparently, a car commercial with actor Joe Santos aired during the broadcast. NBC President Fred Silverman ordered his development team to create a sitcom pilot with Michaelsen and Santos that was eventually called Me and Maxx. This being the NBC of the late 70s-early 80s, Me and Maxx lasted for 10 episodes.
