Grew up with Brace Beemer (with Fred Foy announcing) and thinking that Detroit must be one of the world’s great cities. Then television came along, and the Loan Arranger’s voice changed. Detroit receded and Hollywood came to the forefront. Fred Foy went on the introduce Dick Cavett. And the world continues to change.
