Just a reminder that the fifth annual Archives Bazaar is today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at USC’s Doheny Memorial Library. There will be panel discussions throughout the day, including a panel at 1:30 p.m. on newspapers and newspaper archives with yours truly of the Daily Mirror |
Great photo of the Chinese Theater in Hollywood and the trolly. And, $6.99 for Scotch not to mention 15 cents for parking aren’t bad either. Looks to maybe been taken in the 1940s. Have to miss your bazaar event today, unfortunately.

You should tell the Times to use this as evidence #1 whenever people complain about ground level trains being constructed. The red car ran for years down the middle of Hollywood Blvd., along Walnut Ave. in Pasadena, and Santa Monica Blvd. in the Century City area and people weren’t killed because maybe they were more observant and responsible back then.
