The State Board of Education clears a Van Nuys teacher who was charged with immoral or unprofessional conduct after taking a sex poll of his physiology classes.

Feb. 11, 1960: The transcript of the testimony in the Finch case runs four additional pages. If there’s enough interest I’ll add it, otherwise I’ll omit it. Posting so much material on a daily basis is incredibly time-consuming.

    I’d rather see page 1 on your current 1960, adding 1940 & 1930. 20’s and ’10 is not that interesting. The Finch effort is noble but this stuff is available elsewhere as a complete case I assume?

    I love the early stuff! It shows that in many ways, things really haven’t changed. It also demonstrates some of the abominable practices of the period, with women having little rights and people of color treated badly. I loved the stuff on the Dominguez air show and those photos. Don’t let history be forgotten!
