I’m a 55 year old native San Franciscan. I enjoy the Daily Mirror like you wouldn’t believe. I stumbled on it a couple of years ago, and have since spent many a long hour reading friggin’ Hedda Hopper.
    So, please, indulge me.
What accounts for this ‘trial of Dr. Finch’ compulsion that is hammered into your column month after month, year after blessed year? Are you Finch’s son/daughter? Did you discover the victim’s body? Something is off. For God’s sake, bring it to an end. Publish a special edition: the trial, the verdict, the parole hearings, and what the hell happened to the two people nobody but you any longer gives a damn about. And then, LET IT GO.
