    Nasty unneeded dig at Charlie Chaplin, saying he’s an avid reader of Pravda. Truth is, it was neither a kinder nor gentler time. Shades of McCarthyism could often be found in the Hopper and Parsons columns.
    Chaplin was the consummate film master, humanitarian, & capitalist. I praise him for the first two qualities, and forgive him for the last.
