    Wow, interesting to read the original news articles. I wonder if the judge sentenced him in absentia after he fled, as the judge said he would? It sounds like the judge told both counsel in chambers how he was leaning on sentencing; Polanski’s lawyer then told his client, who got really cold, runny feet.
