    What is so fascinating about this is not just the movies, but the locations of the theaters. There were essentially two theaters in the San Fernando Valley (one being the Madrid which was rehabilitated in the past decade for live theater) and one in Van Nuys. There are listings for San Diego and La Jolla, but nothing in Orange County.
