Imagining the Future, 1959

The home of the future will have a "television recorder" and a flat-screen TV! And the kids will have microfilm books that can be projected on the ceiling… In all, pretty accurate, but I’m still waiting for "Kukla, Frank and Ollie" in 3-D.

  1. Arye Michael Bender's avatar Arye Michael Bender says:

Saw The Kuklapolitan Players in 3-D many times.
Did so by hanging around the TV studio where they broadcast live. Befriended Fran Allison and Beulah Zachary, the show’s producer. Burr Tilstrom was a very odd and creative man. He could be seen in his little office in The Chicago Daily News Building often talking to himself in the tongues. The kid in me didn’t realize he was probably writing through ad-lib with himself.

  2. No need to ever go outside again, unless you want to take a spin in the hovercraft.
