4139 Bandini Blvd., the location of the Bandini Fertilizer Co. in 1938, via Google maps’ street view feature. I was unfamiliar with the terms "Bandini Mountain" and "Mt. Bandini" until now.

Many years ago, Bandini Fertilizer had an ad on local TV, with a high-tech skier, complete with poles, perched on Mt. Bandini. The tag line was, “Are you man enough to ski Bandini Mountain?”

My son works at Green Thub Nursery in Ventura.. When he cmes home slighly dirty I tell him “It looks like you have been climbing Bandini Mountain”..He did not get it till I explained that it was a mountain of fertilizer….I knew what it meant now he does..

I remember those ads well. The other tag was, “Man dares to go where only cows have gone before.” I still hope one day to take a field trip to Bandini Mountain and plant my flag on top.
