Below, a defense expert examines bomb fragments in the Harry Raymond case … The 40 women in the 1st Street School Americanization class stage a fashion show. I’ll have to do a little digging into these Americanization classes. They sound like fertile ground for research on attitudes toward immigration. I bet I’ll find something really fun–maybe a few stories that will tweak today’s prevailing myth that "The minute great-grandpa and great-grandma got off the boat from the old country they spoke nothing but English."
