Rossmoor is a walled community in Orange County, although developer Ross Cortese advertised its proximity to Long Beach. Note the all-electric kitchen. Also notice that the ad doesn’t even address commuting time to downtown Los Angeles. According to Rossmoor’s website, more than 300 original homeowners attended its 50th anniversary celebration last year.

    I was going thru some old (and smelly) Herald-Express’ today…Since we’re into ’58..
    July 9, 1958 was the date of the opening of the final link of the Long Beach Freeway….so, it thusly connected from PCH to The Santa Ana Freeway……….
