Question: Didn’t Victor Mature own an appliance store?

Answer: Yes, Victor Mature TV: 10739 W. Pico Blvd. The store later moved to 10916 W. Pico.

    This is the movie that made Richard Widmark a star for his portrayal of the psychotic killer Tommy Udo. His snickering laugh as he pushed an old woman in a wheelchair down several flights of stairs launched his career. Great locations and it was made in the magical year, 1947.
