   So Tailgunner Joe was 47 years young when he died in 1957.
   Means he was only 40 when he embarked on his anti-communist witchhunt in 1950.
   What would it have been like if he had lived to be 77 and died in 1987 and remained a political force in national politics until the 1980’s?
   The man would have been a living memory today instead of this ghost from the 1950’s.
