Well, something of a mystery, indeed. To me anyway. Tuesday’s gentleman number two, seems to me to be pretty clearly George Zucco although Tuesday’s gentleman number one doesn’t look at all like George Zucco. Wednesday’s big lug coming through the door is real life tough guy Victor McLaughlin carrying what appears to be Tuesday’s gentleman number one’s pistol. So if we go with George Zucco and Victor McLaughlin we end up with Captain Fury (1939) produced and directed by Hal Roach and filmed at Hal Roach Studios out on Washington Boulevard in Culver City. Which leaves me with Monday’s lass who looks to be Virginia Field (or June Lang). I dunno. It’s a mystery.
