This is the 1939 film “Captain Fury,” which for some mysterious reason isn’t out on DVD or VHS and is only available on the gray market.
Just to make sure you know we’re in Australia, here are some kangaroos.
And for Monday, we have a mystery lass with a rifle (barely visible in this shot).
And for Tuesday, a mystery gent – with a gun.
Hint: Here is Tuesday’s mystery gent, once again causing trouble in a not so mysterious film.
And for Wednesday, another mystery gent with a gun.
Please congratulate Don Danard for identifying Tuesday’s mystery chap
For Thursday, Wednesday’s mystery gent has a non-mysterious companion.
Please congratulate Julie Merholz (mystery movie and cast), Mary Mallory (Wednesday’s mystery gent), Don Danard (mystery movie and cast), Dewey Webb (mystery movie and cast), Sarah (Tuesday’s mystery man), Mike Hawks (mystery movie and cast), Floyd Thursby (mystery movie and cast), Rick (Tuesday’s mystery man, about to cause a lot of trouble for Basil Rathbone), Megan Lee Ann and Thom (mystery movie and cast), Benito (Wednesday’s mystery man), Barbara Klein (mystery movie and cast), LC (mystery movie and cast), Bob Hansen (Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s mystery men), Rick Scott (mystery movie and cast), Michael Ryerson (mystery movie and cast) and Ed (Wednesday’s mystery man).
And for Friday, our dashing leading man, as our veteran Hollywood villains get their comeuppance.
Please congratulate Mary Mallory (mystery movie and cast), Don Danard (Thursday’s mystery men), William (mystery movie), Megan Lee Ann and Thom (Thursday’s mystery companion), Mike Hawks (Thursday’s mystery men), Michael Ryerson (Thursday’s mystery men), Sarah (mystery movie and cast), Barbara Klein (Thursday’s mystery man) and Richard Wegescheide (mystery movie and cast). Note to Barbara Klein: Ming the Merciless in the cast, but that’s not him.
Don Danard says: Today, it’s Gallagher and Shean. No, it isn’t, you idiot you.
Dunno!

Tuesday’s mystery man is George Zucco, but alas, I can’t identify the mystery film. I’ll guess that the alternate film shown on Wednesday is “The Dreyfus Case” (1931).

Well, something of a mystery, indeed. To me anyway. Tuesday’s gentleman number two, seems to me to be pretty clearly George Zucco although Tuesday’s gentleman number one doesn’t look at all like George Zucco. Wednesday’s big lug coming through the door is real life tough guy Victor McLaughlin carrying what appears to be Tuesday’s gentleman number one’s pistol. So if we go with George Zucco and Victor McLaughlin we end up with Captain Fury (1939) produced and directed by Hal Roach and filmed at Hal Roach Studios out on Washington Boulevard in Culver City. Which leaves me with Monday’s lass who looks to be Virginia Field (or June Lang). I dunno. It’s a mystery.
