And here we have a couple of mystery folks.
Please congratulate Don Danard (mystery movie and cast), Megan (mystery fellow) and Mary Mallory (wrong actress, right movie series).
And for Thursday, a mystery taxi driver (her cap says “Yellow Cab,” although it’s a bit hard to see in this image). This is one of the few shots of her without our leading man and I’m saving him for tomorrow.

It’s Jean Brooks, but the photo’s not from Leopard Man or The Seventh Victim. I know her face because I became fascinated by those Val Lewton films in the 80s, even though I’d seen them on KPIX in San Francisco twenty years earlier. I guess you have to be an adult to “get” Val Lewton. She really makes them work. She and Katherine Emery, among others.

I thought of the Audrey Totter and Evelyn Keyes also, but this soft focus pic still resembles an early photo of Donna Reed with her hair in an uncharacteristically up style.

OK. You say it is a series…film. So the Young Barbara Hale and Sheldon Leonard would peg it as Falcon …and with Useff Ali on a cheesy set, it must be Falcon In Hollywood …with, Monday, Jean Brooks and …I hope…by Saturday a lovely shot of my fav…Veda Ann Borg.
