Movieland Mystery Photo — Newsboy Cap Edition XIII (Updated + + +)

I know, I know. I just did newsboy caps. But I couldn’t resist. Look: It’s an actual newsboy wearing a newsboy cap. I’ll bet you can guess the studio just from this crowd scene.

And here’s our thirsty mystery gent for Tuesday.

Even though this is a crowd scene, Dewey Webb, Gary Martin and Arye Michael Bender pegged the studio. Gary also identified the barest glimpse of our leading man in the background. Congrats!

And for Wednesday, a mystery woman.

Please congratulate Don Danard and David Inman for identifying Tuesday’s mystery gent.

Mary Mallory and Mike Hawks are correct on the studio and Mary and Lorenzo have identified our leading man, who is barely visible in Monday’s mystery picture. Interestingly enough, Mary and Gary Martin guessed the same movie — alas, wrong.

And for Thursday, we have a mystery woman and a mysterious companion.

Please congratulate Mary Mallory, Patrick and Gary Martin for identifying our mystery film and cast. Mike Hawks has identified Tuesday’s mystery woman.

And for Friday, a (totally not) mystery woman.

Please congratulate Mike Hawks, Don Danard and Barbara Klein for identifying our mystery movie and cast. Valle Dave has identified the studio and most of the cast. Thursday’s mystery guest(s) have been identified by Patrick, Mary Mallory, Julie Merholz and Patricia Ann.

Edward G. Robinson in the crowd Monday. And I said that George E. Stone had his back to camera yesterday. Mike and I both think it’s a Warner’s film, but we weren’t going to send that without getting someone. Is it FIVE STAR FINAL?

Today it’s Helen Vinson and Edward G. Robinson, who also shows up ‘way back there in bg in the Monday Mystery Photo. So the film is likely “The Little Giant” and the young lady sitting on the arm of the chair is likely Shirley Grey.

The perils of search engines. I go to IMDb to look up “The Little Giant”; in particular, I’m interested in the reviews. The second item is

A reasonable short review of the dvd is followed by “Related Deals You Might Like…”: all products (like ladders) whose name includes the phrase “little giant”! (Epinions.com is owned by EBAY.)
