And for Friday, it’s good old reliable….

And Friday’s mystery actress is Zasu Pitts as Hildegarde Withers.

And yes, Tom Kennedy is also in “Forty Naughty Girls,” but since we just had him in “Ladies’ Day,” I thought I’d give him the week off.

Please congratulate Mary Mallory (mystery movie and cast), Dewey Webb (Thursday’s mystery man), Don Danard (Thursday’s mystery man), Mike Hawks (Thursday’s mystery man), Julie Merholz (Thursday’s mystery man), LC (Thursday’s mystery man), Chrisbo (Thursday’s mystery man) and Gary Martin (Thursday’s mystery man).

Mike Hawks says: “XXXX says I am a star and should get top billing.”

  1. Nat Pendleton. I know, too thin, too sophisticated but there you are.

  2. Don Danard says:

A guess from left field, but is this Anthony Averill?

  3. aryedirect says:

First runner in of the Fred MacMurray look-alike contest.

  4. Gretchen Young says:

    Cary Grant?

  5. LC says:

Is that Ralph Morgan on the right?

  6. Mary Mallory says:

    George Meeker on the right?

  7. Don Danard says:

Today’s Lady in Distress is Joan Woodbury.

  8. Mike Hawks says:

At right for tuesday Eddie Marr. Joan Woodbury for wednesday which should make this movie FORTY NAUGHTY GIRLS 1937.

  9. DeweyWebb says:

    James Gleason

  10. Don Danard says:

Good ol’ James Gleason today. One of the best.

  11. Mary Mallory says:

Is it FORTY NAUGHTY GIRLS, with Joan Woodbury yesterday and Alan Edwards on the right Tuesday? Maybe Barry Norton Monday?

  12. Mike Hawks says:

  13. LC says:

Well at least I know Jimmy Gleason.

    Thursday—James Gleason Friday Una Merkle

  17. Don Danard says:

Yes, good ol’ reliable ZaSu Pitts.

  18. I recognized James Gleason for Thursday, but could not find a movie where he would be wearing white tie and tails. Friday is Zazu Pitts, who made several movies with Gleason.

  19. juliemerholz says:

Zasu Pitts… This is going to be one of the mystery series she & Gleason did. I don’t feel like figuring it out

  20. Mike Hawks says:

And today we have our Miss Pitts.

  21. LC says:

Forty Naughty Girls 1937 with Zasu Pitts

  22. Gary Martin says:

If JG is playing Oliver Piper and if this is Zazu’s only go at the lady sleuth, replacing Edna Mae, then this is Plot Thickens.

  23. Benito says:

Wednesday’s woman is Joan Woodbury. She intrigued me, so I found more photos. That lady had balls! http://acertaincinema.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Joan-Woodbury-Here-Comes-Trouble.jpg

  24. Rick says:

    ZaSu Pitts today

  25. Gary Martin says:

Thanks for straightening that all out.
