And for Monday, three mystery gents.
Here are a couple more mystery chaps for Tuesday.
Our middle gent in Monday’s picture has been identified by Michael Ryerson, Julie Merholz, Lee Ann, Floyd Thursby, Jenny M. and Dan Dixon. Dan did a great deal of fascinating detective work that’s too good not to share:
The man in the center is, without doubt, the great XXXXXX. Now, just my opinion: the car and the heavies on either side put it in Europe. The crappy color makes it not a high budget affair. I think it’s around the time of XXX’s tiny and wonderful performance in “XXXXX.” The ties tell us something, I’m just not sure what, maybe early-midish 70s. My stab at it is: XXXX on the left, XXXX in “XXXX.” The guy on the right doesn’t quite fit, but…
Alas, the wrong film. But fascinating work!
And here we have a mystery (totally not) car.
Please congratulate Jenny M and Megan and Lee Ann for identifying our mystery movie and cast and Floyd Thursby and Julie Merholz for identifying Tuesday’s mystery gent.
And for Thursday, a mystery woman.
Gary Martin says of Tuesday’s mystery fellow: “Tuesday’s gent in the odd lapels is XXXXX. As he made 5000 films I suspect I shant get far in my research within the remaining days.” Of course Gary then got the mystery film and cast. Congrats!
Julie Merholz and Mike Hawks have also identified our mystery film and cast.
Julie and Jenny M. have identified the car. You probably can’t tell from that shot, but it’s a right-hand drive (very rare, I would say). Notice how much oil it’s burning.
And Julie identified our ultra-mysterious “back of the head guy.”
Don Danard identified Monday’s and Tuesday’s mystery folks.
This isn’t a mystery fellow. I just think it’s bizarre for him to have an antique rifle with a scope.
Oh look, it’s a Luger!
Our mystery film and cast have been identified by ValleDave and Don Danard.
Stevo identified our mystery car. ValleDave added a bit of trivia about the car from imdb, which is probably not entirely correct.
Mike Hawks and Jenny M. identified Thursday’s mystery folks, while Julie Merholz identified our mystery woman, but had the wrong “back of the head guy.”
Benito gets partial credit for:
Thursday’s girl sure looks like the late XXXXX, ZZZZ’s sister. If so, the tall blonde gent is Michael Caine (alas, no) and the movie is The Billion Dollar Brain (alas, no).
