Photo: Mystery photo alumnus Jack Mulhall (with Gloria Gilbert in 1944), will be featured at this weekend’s Cinecon.
The Cinecon Classic Film Festival begins Thursday and runs through Sunday, with a lineup of rare movies. Most of the films aren’t on DVD and haven’t been broadcast on TCM.
Bonus: Mary Mallory will be doing a book signing Thursday Friday night at 5:30.
The films will be shown at Grauman’s Egyptian Theater, 6712 Hollywood Blvd. A day pass ($25-$30) and a festival pass ($100 + $85 for the banquet) are available.
A complete list is here. Look! It’s “The Brasher Doubloon!” with George Montgomery as Raymond Chandler’s Philip Marlowe!

Oops, I’m actually speaking tonight, Thursday, at 5:30 at the Renaissance Hotel on Highland.
Just heard about this here! Don’t think I can make tonite. Mary, it sounds like a book signing AND a speaking? What’s your specific talk on?
